Sunriver Rangers:
While being a spectator at the June shoot in Missoula, I was called upon to lead the pledge to our FLAG. At the beginning of this short ceremony, a Sunriver Ranger, "Prairie Dog", presented me with a FLAG that had flown over Iraq at the Balad Air Base.

This was on behalf of the Rangers.

I normally do very well at speaking however this time I was at a total loss for words.

For five or six years I attended the state shoot in Simms. I made numerous friends and acquaintances. Pictures and memories of these times are in my gun room.
This award was about the nicest thing that ever happened to this old war orphan. I'd still be coming down to that great shoot if my health allowed.
Once again, thank you all very much, take care of the club and above all, take care of our veterans!
